20 July, 2016
Tsikhisdziri (lit. the foot of a fortress) is a seaside resort and a village in Georgia, located in Kobuleti Municipality, 440 m above the sea level.  As it has been reported, in the second century BC it used to be a small city that belonged to the Kingdom of the Laz (Georgian ethnic group). The area is also famous for its incredible Petra Fortress dating back to the 6th century after which the village is called Tsikhisdziri. At present the place serves as a seaside resort of western Georgia.
