Earthquake Didn’t Damage Toyota

As InterpressNews was told by executive vice President of Toyota in Caucasian and Middle Asia Goga Gomiashvili, Japan earthquake didn’t damage Toyota plants and cycle of vehicle production will not be disrupted .
Vehicles are sent to Georgia by Nagoya port that was not injured by quake.
“Factories halted production till 16 March to check whether equipments needed for the vehicle production are damaged or not. There are not other problems. Most of Toyota plants are located in South East of

Japan. We won’t have problems if there is not logistic hindrance or problem of providing main factories with units”, Goga Gomiashvili said.
He informs that 500 cars monthly are brought from Japan to Georgia. 2000 cars are to arrive to Georgia, 800 of them are in transit.
Gomiashvili informs that Today Company Toyota Motor Corporation donated 300 million Japanese yen for relief to the correspondent fund of Japanese government.
Small dealer companies have been importing few cars from Japan, as Georgian vehicle market is full of so called Japanese used cars brought from various countries.
