A reinforced platoon of 13 Light Infantry Battalion, I Infantry Brigade, has taken over the duty of providing security for Phoenix military base in Kabul, Afghanistan in frames of the ISAF mission.
The service members of the platoon will be carrying out inner and outer perimeter patrols and other tasks for base security during the next six months. The Defense Ministry said the platoon had taken over the duty from a reinforced platoon of Western Operational Group in Afghanistan in frames of the rotation program. The ceremony of handing over the duty was organized at the Phoenix base.
