MIA DEMANDED FROM ME COLLABORATION WITH SECRET SERVICE!

‘My aim is restoration of justice, not returning of the company’ – declares Mamia Sanadiradze, founder and ex-holder of the control package of ‘Caucasus Online’ Company who came back from London several days ago. According to him the aim of his return is to begin investigation of the organized crime that was committed against him in 2009. In the interview he speaks about the reason that made the control-package-holder sell his share.

M.S. – I’ve already filed my applications to both

departments – Interior Ministry and Prosecutor’s Office – in which I demand starting of investigation. .. There was no sense to do it earlier because I had no trust in justice – I knew the result in advance.

I’d like to tell Georgian people once again that till autumn of 2009 the ‘Caucasus Online’ was functioning without any problems, we had planned projects of the regional scale in the Caucasus including laying of internet fiber optic cable in Armenia and Azerbaijan. Also laying of identical submerged cable on the Caspian Seabed that would connect Azerbaijan with Turkmenistan and consequently Central Asia would be connected with Europe with powerful resources. 35-million loan had already been approved that had to be spent for laying internet fiber optic cable in every city and village of Georgia. By implementing such wide-scale project in 2014-2015 ‘Caucasus Online’ would become a billionaire Company. But afterwards suddenly the situation changed and I was made to sell the Company.

Q. – Concretely, what problems were created and by whom?

A. – Former administration began ruining the ‘Caucasus Online’ in different directions, motivating it by the fact that I wasn’t the manager of the company that was controlled by them. Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili and the authorities in general had realized the power of controlling internet as well as information in general and directly offered me: MIA employees would enter flats and offices to install video and listening devices.

With this demand a certain Mikachashvili, MIA employee, who presumably was the head of technical department, came to our Company. He demanded installation of equipment that would ‘filter’ and control emails and other electronic information in Georgia. When I refused it turned out to be equal to a verdict – after this they did everything to snatch control of the company from me and they achieved it.

From corresponding services I demand investigation, let them interrogate those people who were used to this end. I think the head of Electrical Connections (current ‘Silknet’)  Giorgi Ramishvili, by the nickname of ‘Zarala’ and Vano Merabishvili worked in coordination. On Merabishvili’s instruction not only ruining of the infrastructure and cutting of cables but organized assault was carried out as well. The regulatory commission fined us for several times and we had to pay the total sum of GEL 660 thousand. State organizations refused our services; the revenue service entered our Company several times and when no infringements within the 5-year- work was found they said that we were selling internet at a very low price thus inflicting considerable damage to state budget. It was impossible to set higher price than our tariff as we too wanted to have more profit. In a nutshell, they imposed 11-million fine and unless it was paid within 45 days I as a General Director of the Company was facing a prison…

After imposing a state control on ‘Caucasus Online’,  huge sums started to drain from the Company. The people who were used to fulfill different orders of authorities were getting salaries; I mean those ‘zonders’ who didn’t even come to the work. Employees of Interior Ministry and ‘National activists’ were permanently taken into service.

Q. - Who supplied this information to you?

A. – I had my sources, old employees.
