‘Kadiev’s pseudo-disappearance was not incidental’

Last week on charges of attempted terrorist act foreign citizens –Michael Kadiev and Rizvan Omarov were detained. After spreading the ominous video, majority of experts didn’t rule out the threat of terrorist acts on the territory of our country. We requested Zaal Kasrelishvili, Chairman of ‘Caucasian Peoples’ Confederation’ to comment on this issue.
Q. – What was the connection of President’s pilot with Kadiev?
A. – Mentioning of the President’s pilot’s name in connection with
Kadiev, arrested for terrorist act attempt, was made in a rather awkward context. President’s administration assessed all this as provocation and declared that ‘Tusheti’, whose director is Zaur Kortoshidze, is an independent company, hired by Special Service of State Security and at present it is subordinated to the Prime Minister. Despite this, the Premier has never used this company while Saakashvili had nine-year relations with the Kotroshidze brothers (share-holders of ‘Tusheti’ Company).
Zaur Kortoshidze: ‘First I met with Mika Kadiev in 2011. By origin my father is from Dagestan but he lives in Georgia from the age of 6 and is the citizen of the country. We of course have relation with Dagestan. Once my father’s cousin (a lady) called us from Dagestan and said that our third brother whom we considered to be lost in the Abkhazian war was alive, working in Sokhumi as an unskilled laborer. For this reason we included Dagestanis to search for my brother. They indeed went to Abkhazia, visited Sokhumi, Gudauta but my brother wasn’t there. Once my father’s friend called me from Dagestan and told me that his friends’ son, a wrestler, was in Tbilisi. He underwent training in wrestlers’ club in Vake, had some financial problem and requested me to render some financial assistance and give him USD 100-150 till they arrived. The man called me indeed and introduced himself as Mika (Michael Kadiev). I met him in Vake, at 9th Hospital and gave him the money. Three weeks after this my niece arrived together with my father’s friend and an unknown person, certain Ahmed. For one day they stayed with my parents in Telavi, then visited some other places and soon flew to Baku. All this happened in 2011. After some time my father called me and said that a friend from Dagestan asked him to help the boy whom we had lent money find a flat to rent. At that time my son (he is a pilot too) was on a business trip abroad; he had a locked flat on Chitadze Street and we temporarily allowed Mika to stay there. In 2-3 weeks time my son returned and my driver rented a flat for Kadiev; it was the same flat where explosives and weapons were found. I had no other relations with Kadiev.
We discussed the same issue with Mamuka Areshidze, an expert: ‘I have information that Kadiev was in close relations with the group that participated in Lapankuri events. Kadiev was arrested last December but later he was released. By the way, his arrest as well as release is questionable. Some rumors had it that he was transferred to Russian Special forces. Now it becomes known that he had crossed the border for several times and at last he was detained as a suspect for preparation of terrorist act. Of course, information of Kadiev’s family about his disappearance turned out to be false. I think it was some kind of attempt to cover Kadiev’s suspicious deeds. It’s also interesting that Kadiev is a member of the group one of the heads of which is Ruslan Papaskiri aka Zooni. As I know, he was arrested in Turkey by Special Forces and accused of participation in killing of three Chechen refugees on GRU’s instructions.
By the way, it was this Papaskiri who brought to Georgia the Chechens, participants of Lapankuri operation. I’m waiting for the investigation to end. But I think Kadiev’s pseudo-disappearance was not incidental.
