'I will arrive in Georgia not to fulfill Putin’s dream but to free my country of those who fulfill Putin’s orders’
, former president Mikheil Saakashvili said. The audio address, in which Saakashvili speaks from Holland, was released by Imedi TV yesterday.
The former president said that for the recent weeks President Vladimir Putin is very nervous because of him.
"In fact, I started a campaign for Ukraine's support. They created a very serious problem, but if now Putin thinks that I will quietly go and surrender, and my displacement will no longer be possible, it is a great folly. I'm going to continue to struggle for liberation of Georgia and the entire region as a free man. Nobody can restrict my movement. As for your question, whether I will arrive in Georgia or not, I can tell you that I will arrive in Georgia not to fulfill Putin’s dream but to free my country of those who fulfill Putin’s orders. This will happen much sooner than Ivanishvili can imagine. The Russian oligarch was given two billions for fulfilling this task in 2012. There is no doubt that this was done by him. Europeans told me that he resigned only to do this job in the shadow, as if he has nothing to do with it. I would like to say that no one will buy it. Everybody knows that the government is run by completely worthless people, who do not make any decisions. Everyone knows that even Ivanishvili does not make final decisions. The decisions are made by those who gave him those two billions. These are temporal difficulties for Georgia. I will continue to fight. Nothing will stop me except for physical elimination from Putin’s side. I will continue my struggle as a free man. I'm not going to engage in Ivanishvili-Putin’s games. I will visit Ivanishvili, when it is needed, but for a different mission," he said.
Mikheil Saakashvili was summoned to the Chief Prosecutor's Office for questioning as a witness yesterday.
