Russia-Georgia conflict and its peaceful resolution to be main part of Georgia-EU dialogue – PM

The Russia-Georgia conflict and ways of its peaceful resolution will be one of the significant parts of the Georgia-EU dialogue, - Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has said at today’s governmental session responding to a high-level strategic dialogue between Georgia and EU.

The PM has assessed this as a very important achievement turning Georgia into a significant component of the European security system.

‘This is a result of a long-term work
and great honor and responsibility to us. This is an unprecedented step from the European Union and Europe confirms interest in Georgia as well as its role in terms of strengthening regional stability and security, ‘ Giorgi Kvirikashvili has declared.

‘Of course the Russia-Georgia conflict will be one of the main issues of the dialogue as well as finding peaceful ways for its resolution. It will also include method against terrorism, extremism, organized crime, etc. The strategic dialogue format will be the path to us to achieve high compatibility to EU security systems and structures,’ Kvirikashvili has remarked.
