"Yesterday there was a meeting of the ruling political party, after which public statements have been made. Different
points of view have been outlined between me and the ruling team, specifically concerning the economic policy pursued by the government under my leadership. I would like to emphasize that in recent months my opinion differed from the party chairman’s opinion on a number of fundamental issues. This is a normal process. I have never escaped debates after 2012, and I think today is the moment when the chairman of the party should be given the opportunity to staff his team on the basis of his views," said Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
