One of the most well-known products

In addition to the armoured vehicles, Delta also manufactures aviation components, artillery systems, small arms, explosive weapons, police gear, personal protection equipment, etc. Plus, according to the PR specialist in military-technical issues at Delta, Giga Inashvili, they are also working on the manufacturing of unmanned aircrafts and helicopters.

“Several ranges of armour and helmets are in regular production by Delta as well, including the so-called “Plate-Carriers”, which are actively used by the Georgian army.” – stated Inashvili.

Delta has achieved success with its Sniper Rifles. At the trials, the latest Georgian sniper "Satevari" (with 338 calibre), showed the highest results.

Apart from military equipment, a quite ambitious project was the installing of a modern automated Anti-hail system in Kakheti, in 2015. Despite the complications of the system, Delta specialists managed to complete the project within a very limited time period. Now thanks to this system, the current damage from hail has decreased significantly in the region.

Delta not only equips the Georgian army, but also exports its products abroad. By February 2018, they were exporting armaments to more than 40 countries around the world. According to Delta’s General Director Ucha Dzidzuashvili, throughout 2017, the Centre was actively working on the production and refinement of various products tailored to their individual clients' demand and specifications This has resulted in their taking certain steps towards manufacturing new products.

"Delta's respective teams and representatives are working hard in more than 40 countries in all continents of the world with potential customers encouraging them to buy our products," Dzodzuashvili said.

According to him, there is a big interest in the anti-hail system. On the back of this the Company is now planning to carry out some technical work in different countries.

It is critical (due to its nature) that military hardware is subjected to rigorous checks , before exporting in order to ensure it is safe and and without defects.

The first stage of the product is the concept stage. This is followed by the initial design phase. This is extremely important and requires the taking into account of marketing aspects. Before the final production, the team make a prototype of the product and conducts trials under what is expected to be the products standard operational conditions and environment. Delta also uses where possible entirely local sources for manufacture the equipment.

According to the representatives of Delta, they believe that one of the main advantages of their products is that they are always current and kept under constant review due to changing circumstances and the demands of clients around the world. And thus through this strategy they are able to hold their own in a very competitive market.
