Heroin seized near Georgia-Azerbaijan State Border

Border Police from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a 28 year old individual. He has been charged with illegally trespassing the border and attempting to import significant amounts of heroin into Georgia.

The offender was already on probation before these new charges. He also has a number of previous convictions for a variety of crimes. Upon carrying out a search on the individual, the police found and seized 3.5 kilograms of drugs, including 1.119 kg heroin and 1.1935
kg of methamphetamine.

The investigation continues. The repeat offender may face imprisonment from 15 to 20 years or life in prison if found guilty of all the present offences he is charged with.
