John Bolton's visit to Georgia

"We had a very interesting and meaningful conversation about all the main directions of Georgia-US strategic partnership. We touched upon all topical issues. We talked about the global and regional challenges Georgia has to tackle. We will find it difficult to tackle these challenges unless the active support from our main strategic partner – the US. One of the most important challenges in terms of security is the current situation in the occupied regions of Georgia. We have very clear and serious support from our strategic partner in this direction. The issue is constantly on the agenda of the US policy and is the subject of their bilateral dialogue with the Russian Federation. Naturally, we talked about how to get out of this situation with the peace initiatives of Georgia. Of course, it is important to have more involvement of international actors, "FM Zalkaliani told journalists.

The Minister said that at the meeting they talked about the issues related to Georgia-US economic relationship.
