Georgia recognizes Juan Guaido as an interim president

Georgia recognized Venezuelan parliament speaker Juan Guaidó as an interim president. "After the results of the presidential elections in Venezuela had not been recognized, Georgia made a decision to recognize Juan Guido as an interim president. Georgia welcomes our partners' statements and supports the Venezuelan people in their struggle for democracy and freedom," the Georgian Foreign Minister said.

Juan Guaidó was recognized as an interim president by US President Donald Trump and other world leaders yesterday.
