83% of Georgians support integration into the NATO, 78% into the EU – NDI
83% of NDI respondents support Georgia's integration into the EU, - the poll results of the National Democratic Institute say. According to the poll, 9% of respondents do not support the EU membership.

As for NATO, according to the poll, 78% of respondents support NATO membership and 13 percent do not.

According to the majority of respondents of the National Democratic Institute (NDI), the criminal situation in Georgia has worsened in
the past 10 years.

In particular, to a question: “How the criminal situation has changed in Georgia in the last 10 years?” - 43% of respondents responded by saying that it got worse, 32% said it remained the same, 18% said it improved and 7% said they did not know.

As for the most frequent crimes, 25% of respondents say that the most widespread crime in Georgia was related to drugs, 21% said robbery/burglary/theft, 20% - road accidents/traffic collisions, 14% - murder, 5% - domestic violence, 4% - juvenile offense, 1% - physical abuse, sexual harassment and illegal migration.

Majority of respondents of the poll conducted by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) think that the judiciary is developing in the wrong direction in Georgia.

30% of respondents said that nothing had been changed in the judiciary at all, 16% thinks that the system was developing in the right direction, and 20% said they did not know.

67% of the respondents interviewed by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) positively evaluate performance of the police, while 21% gave negative answer.

12% of respondent said they did not know how to rate the performance of Georgian police.

As for the assessment of Minister of Internal Affairs, Giorgi Gakharia, he was positively rated him by 47%, 23 rated negatively, 29% said they did not know how answer the question, 1% refused to answer the question.

The majority of the respondents interviewed by the National Democratic Institute (NDI), namely 44%, said that the situation of employment has not changed in the country at all, and 43% said that the country was going in the wrong direction in this regard.

11% of respondents said that the country was developing in the right direction and 2% said they did not know how to answer the question.

The poll results reflect data collected from December 6-20, 2018, through face-to-face interviews with a nationwide representative sample of Georgia’s adult population, excluding occupied territories that included 2,205 completed interviews. The average margin of error is +/- 2.1 percent.
