'I have not come to Ukraine for revenge or destruction, I came here to build,' - the former president of Odesa district, Mikheil
Saakashvili, told journalists at the Kyiv airport.

According to him, he arrived in Kyiv to build new Ukraine. He said his arrival in Ukraine was very emotional as he had spent 12 years of his life in that country. The former governor of Odesa thanked Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for restoring Ukrainian citizenship and called him a strong and independent politician. He said that he will do his best to bring new politicians to Ukraine's politics.

Former president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili told journalists at the Kyiv airport that he will soon return to Georgia.

“The only country where I am refused entry is Georgia and I will soon return there too”, Saakashvili said.

He added that when he was expelled from Ukraine two years ago, he did not even take his belongings, because he believed he would come back.
