NATO Parliamentary Assembly President Madeleine Moon visits Khurvaleti village

President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Madeleine Moon has arrived in the village of Didi Khurvaleti, in the Gori municipality, located near the Administrative Boundary Line. Prior to traveling to Khurvaleti village, Madeleine Moon, who is on her official visit to Georgia, along with the NATO Parliamentary Delegation met with the representatives of the legislative and executive authorities of Georgia.

At the meeting the sides discussed the recent situation in the region and the humanitarian and security situation in the occupied
territories.

“I promise we will not just write a report. We will do everything that we can, President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly” - Madeleine Moon, told reporters in Khurvaleti.

According to her, locals experience "cruel treatment" every day.

“It is our job to observe, ask questions and take this evidence to our next meeting in London in October. We will do it and I promise we will not just write a report. We will do everything we can to create a broader understanding of the existed situation here. They face difficulties here and experience a cruel treatment every day” - NATO Parliamentary Assembly President Madeleine Moon told reporters.
