President Zourabichvili Calling on the International Community to React to Tskhinvali Situation

The President has called on the international community to react to the dire human rights situation in the Tskhinvali region after the confiscation and prohibition of Georgian-made and Georgian-labeled medicines from the occupied territor.

She sent a written appeal to Dunja Mijatović (CoE Commissioner on Human Rights), Michelle Bachelet (UN High Commissioner for Human Rights) and Tedros Abhanom Ghebreyesus (WHO Director-General). In her letters, the President called upon the international community to “react through all possible means to such violation of
elementary humanitarian principles.”
