Former President Saakashvili about Coronavirus Spread in Georgia
Georgia's former president Mikheil Saakashvili makes an official statement on his Facebook page . According to him, all schools and universities must be closed for now and the large public events must be canceled.

As Saakashvili says, the Georgian government must have suspended the flights with Iran at least one week earlier.

He adds, that coronavirus threatens not only human health but can also harm the country's economy.

" I understand the people who are very concerned now, including those who
supply products, because they do not trust the system. People do not feel that they are protected. They were much calmer even during the August war in 2008 because at that time the government's trust was very high and now it is not. The reason why their trust level is so low is that the government should have closed the border for at least one week earlier. In my opinion, schools and universities must be closed and large public events must be canceled because this virus not only threatens human health, but it is very dangerous to the economy. There will be huge financial problems for ordinary citizens and the country's budget."
