‘VICTORY WITH RUSSIAN SUPPORT…’

‘The people who speak about revolution today, care about restoration of their status they had before 2003 rather than Georgian people’, declares Nugzar Tsiklauri, one of the leaders of authorities:

N.T. – The people who are announcing the revolution see that according to different sociological surveys their rating is very low. Accordingly, it’s impossible for them to achieve success through democratic way and elections; thus they are prone to embark on revolution and violence, gain the upper hand regardless anything,

even with the help of Russia. Revolutionary sentiment of the group comprising Kitsmarishvili, Gachechiladze, Okruashvili and Gogelia is fed with only one desire – to restore their exclusive, special social and political status in Georgia.
It is a constitutional right of any citizen of Georgia to perform actions, nobody will hamper in it; but in case the participants of a rally break into state offices and quash political and public life, such situation will breed desirable environment for mountebanks. It’s easy to fish in troubled waters; for this reason they are trying to shuffle the situation and strive for revolution. Such kind of disorder is unacceptable for any normal human because we’ve witnessed the kind of criminal anarchy it can breed.
A couple of days ago after the Rose Revolution, Roman Dumbadze, a general of Aslan Abashidze, ex-leader of Ajara – one of the regions of Georgia, declared that he would return to Georgia and participate in the turmoil the opposition was planning. Today Dumbadze, traitor of his country, supports revolution. He is a friend of General Borisov, head of Russian occupational forces and so important for the Russian side that they exchanged him for 12 Georgian captives. Roman Dumbadze was the man who supported the unleashing of blood-shed in Ajara in the spring of 2004. It’s funny that such people call the battle for restoration of their exclusive political status, a fight for regaining honor. Actually, their urge has nothing in common with honor.
Q. – If we recall the declaration of Irakli Okruashvili, ex-Minister of Defense and leader of ‘Georgian Party’, he didn’t rule out his coming back to power.
N.T. – Political forces planning turmoil in Georgia, despite their lavish financing and variety of means need peoples’ support. The people don’t join the rally to play parts in their scenario.
Q. – In case they still start picketing the state offices, what will be the authorities’ reaction?
N.T. – Nobody forbids political forces and people to express their ideas but according to Georgian legislation, a rally mustn’t artificially block the way, entrance to state offices and hinder their functioning. The moment this happens the law will become functional.
