The health benefits of almond include getting relief from constipation, respiratory disorder, coughs, heart disorder, anemia, impotency and diabetes. It also helps hair care, skin care and dental care. We can eat almonds directly, preferably on empty stomach to insure absorption of their nutrients. We can soak them in water overnight and eat it in the morning. It is fun to see how easily they lose skin after having been soaked in the water overnight.
Good for Brain and Nervous
Suystem: almond is a source of much nutrition which helps in brain development. Almond induces high intellectual level and has been considered as an essential food item for growing children. 2-3 pieces of soaked almond are good enough daily. Almonds contain nutrients that boost brain activity and may also reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. Almonds help increase high intellectual level and longevity.
Cholesterol Regulator: almond regular consumption will help to increase the level of high-density lipoproteins (good cholesterol) and reduce the level of low-density cholesterol (bad cholesterol), thereby effectively controlling the cholesterol level.
Skin Care: almond milk is added in some soap as almonds help in improving the complexion of the skin. Massage with almond oil is often recommended for new born babies. Almonds are premier source of vitamin E.
Allergies: almonds are among the major food allergens. Symptoms of food allergy can take a mild form such as itching or abdominal pain, difficult breathing and dizziness.
Alkalizing the body:
Almonds are the only nut and one of the few proteins that are alkaline forming. When your body lacks alkaline, you risk osteoporosis, poor immune function, low energy and weight gain.
Almonds lower the rise in blood sugar and insulin after meals.
Healthy fats and aid in weight loss:
Although nuts are high in fat, frequent nut eaters are thinner on average than those who almost never consume nuts. Those who ate nuts at least two times per week were 31 percent less likely to gain weight than were those who never or seldom ate them
Strong bones and teeth:
The phosphorus in almonds helps make this possible.
Heart attack risk:
Those who consume nuts five times a week have about a 50 percent reduction in risk of heart attack according to the Loma Linda School of Public Health.

Excessive consumption of almond is unhealthy. Almond produces poison, called hydrogen cyanide which actually gives them their flavor. In small amounts it can be considered healthful but if consumed in excess can cause respiratory failure.
So, let us consume almonds in recommended quantities. Its excessive use might constitute certain amount of risk for our health.
