Injured citizens, including a journalist, at LGBT supporting demonstration

One of the micro buses supposedly transporting activists of the May 17 demonstration for the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia away from the confrontation between the group and the counter-demonstration of Church representatives and citizens was damaged after stones were thrown at the vehicle by the counter-protest participants on Kolmeurneoba Square. Injuries have been reported from the scene, including some inflicted on Fortuna Radio reporter Khatia Kalandadze, who sustained a head injury after a thrown stone hit her while
she was in the center of the confrontation on Vachnadze Street, where the police was trying to move the LGBT rights demonstration participants away from the scene of clashes.
