‘Live chain’ of students against Russian Creeping Occupation
09 October, 2013
Tbilisi State University Student Society members staged a protest against “The Creeping Occupation” of Russia against Georgia, stating they would not accept the annexation of Georgia’s state territory by Russia and urging the international community to show more reaction against the actions of the occupying forces.
The students said they had staged the protest with a symbolic action as they could not travel to the de-facto border village of Dvani. They set up a “live chain” depicting Georgia’s state borders
during their protest and set up banners that read “’No’ to the Occupation”, “Peace in Georgia” and “Students for the United Georgia”.
