Freezing temperatures forecast in the 1st week of February

It is snowing in most regions of Eastern Georgia. As InterpressNews was told by Svetlana Nioradze from Monitoring and Forecast Centre of the National Environment Agency , it is snowing in the high mountainous regions of Western Georgia too and mostly raining in the lowland.
It is snowing in Khulo, where the snow cover reaches 147 cm, Shovi – 47 cm, Mestia – 54cm, Rikoti – 125 cm, Bakuriani – 42 cm, Gudauri - 77cm, Stepantsminda – 5cm, Telavi – 10cm,
Sagarejo – 15 cm, Dedoplistskaro and Lagodekhi – 5-5cm.
It is also snowing in Tbilisi, Bolnisi, Kordzouli.
There is an avalanche hazard in the Gudauri-Kobi section.
It will stop snowing in Eastern Georgia from the second half of January 2. There will be freezing temperature on February 1 at night. It will be minus 10 Celsius at night in Eastern Georgia, on February 2 - minus 15 Celsius.
It will be minus 5 Celsius on 2 February at night in Western Georgian lowland, +3; +8 Celsius during the day. Freezing temperatures will continue in Eastern Georgia in the first week of February.
