Georgian students attend annual innovations summit at NASA

Four young Georgian students who are the winners of second-annual Millennium Innovations Awards competition are already in NASA taking part in the annual innovations summit at the NASA Kennedy Space Center. The boys’ team named Solar invented an innovative technology for increasing solar cell efficiency and gained victory at the Millennium Innovations Award competition carried out by Millennium Challenge Account - Georgia. First day of the summit was carried out successfully. Tomorrow Georgian students will open second day of the
event and present their invention to other participants. The members of Solar are: Giorgi Nioradze, Vakho Kontridze, Giorgi Marjiani and Beka Mikadze . The annual innovations summit at the NASA Kennedy Space Center, in the U.S. takes place from April 20 to 24.

As a reminder, last year two Georgian school boys from Akhaltsikhe, a small city in Georgia’s southwestern region, Irakli Kapanadze and Karlo Khutsishvili, won the competition with their invention, named the “Multiclimatizator,” and took part in the annual innovations summit at the NASA Kennedy Space Center as well.
