Maka Chichua: Life before becoming Georgia’s First Lady

Maka Chichua has been in the centre of attention since the very day she became the First Lady of Georgia.
We have gathered significant details from her life before she married Georgia's President.

Maka was born on March 31, 1971, in Tbilisi.

She graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, after which she had been involved in various fields and activities, including modeling industry, music, television and cinema. She has taken part in several music videos and feature films.

Beginning from 2000, she collaborated with several TV Companies, namely Mze, Channel 9, Piki and TV3, working as a presenter, the head of the visual group and art director.

In 2015 she designed a book written by the winner of Youth Literary Festival.

As it is widely known, Maka Chichua and President Giorgi Margvelashvili met each other with the help of their children from their first marriages Ana Margvelashvili and Masho Chichua.

The couple had lived together for 5 years and after Margvelashvili became the President, in 2014, they officially married.

The event was held at Dusheti Regional Registry. Maka’s daughter Masho’s father is a well-known Georgian musician, Dima Dadiani. On February 2015 Maka gave birth to her second child, Temo, named after President’s grandfather.
