New library opens in Anaklia Boulevard
On September 1, a library was opened in Anaklia Boulevard (a town and seaside resort in western Georgia) jointly by Equilibrium (the movement of National Library of Georgia), the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection and Anaklia Development Consortium.

According to the National Library of Georgia, mini library will be arranged there and the books will be available for everyone.
"Citizens can take the
books from the library, read them and then return them back. They can leave a new book in the library if they wish. Similar model is spread in the world’s successful countries.

The design of the mini-library is symbolic and has a shape of atent. Similar tent-shaped libraries will be arranged in other villages close to the border as well. Namely, at this stage, mini-libraries will be placed in the villages of Nokoz and Ditsi in Gori municipality (the central part of eastern Georgia).
Equilibrium has set up similar mini libraries in many cities of Georgia. The project has expanded time by time. The movement aims to establish small libraries in the parks, that will serve as cultural-educational spaces and host various activities.

The main aim of the project is to increase the level of literacy in the villages located close to the border and create cultural-educational spaces.

The project is being implemented with the support of Zugdidi Municipality, National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and construction companies "Nova" and "Citadel", - The statement of National Parliamentary Library of Georgia reads.
