15 February, 2018
Everyone knows about Kantsi, Georgian traditional drinking tool made from goat’s horn, which is frequently used at Georgian feast table supra for drinking special toasts, but did you know that thermo horn (in the shape of Kantsi) existed ? Well, we did not know it either and were surprised in the same way as you are right now. As Dariko, foreign blogger and author of the book about Georgian wine named A Guide to the Cradle of Wine, told Georgian
Journal these amazing and portable thermo horns is already on sale in Georgia and anyone can get it.

As Dariko said, Goat Story is a brand conceived by coffee lovers from Slovenia in 2014-2015 and successfully funded at Kickstarter.

Mug is ideal for coffee or other type of drinks

“I noticed the mugs in fall 2016, and decided to buy one for my loved one and me, cause we both like to travel, and this mug seemed to be super convenient. Plus, it carries some Georgian spirit - we do drink from horns here! So I ordered the first two mugs and we went hiking - in the end we celebrated the successful ascent to Ukraine's highest peak with a horn of saperavi we brought from home. Afterwards, it made me very happy that the mug didn't take the colour of saperavi from inside - after the washing it was the same white”, blogger elaborated adding the main difference between Georgian kantsi and Goat Mug is not only the material (eco-friendly plastic and high-quality artificial leather), but the fact that this horn can stand on its own.

Dariko kept on traveling carrying the mug with her to Georgia’s mountainous places Gudauri, Tetnuldi, Zuruldi and Bakuriani. “Friends and subscribers started asking, where did I get such a cool tool, and I came to the idea to contact the producers in Slovenia and buy the pilot amount of mugs to sell them in Georgia. They agreed, we had quite a long conversation about the details, and in February I got the box from Tbilisi's street in Ljubljana ”, she noted in conversation with Georgian Journal.
