Technical experts examining all ropeways across Georgia’s mountainous resorts

Experts have been studying the documents since morning, now, we are going to visit the ropeway and conduct an additional examination there, - Genadi Arveladze, Deputy Minister of Economics and Sustainable Development, said in Gudauri.

Genadi Arveladze arrived in Gudauri together with international experts and representatives of the agencies involved in the examination process over March 16 incident.

“At this stage we can not tell you an exact date of the final result, because
detailed examination and investigation process is underway, “ - said the Deputy Minister of Economics.

According to him, specialists of the Technical and Construction Supervision Agency of the Ministry of Economics are also examining other ropeways across the mountainous resorts of Georgia.

As a reminder, ski lift in Georgia's Gudauri winter resort went out of control when the holidaymakers were skiing. A shocking ski lift accident left 11 people with mild injuries. The health condition of the tourists injured in Gudauri improved. Most patients have already been discharged from the hospital. One of the Russian tourists, who was also injured in Friday’s accident, Oleg Vitrov, immediately returned to Gudauri after he was discharged from the hospital.
