Tbilisi citizens and tourists will pay for public transport with VISA and MasterCard

From September 15, passengers of Tbilisi municipal transport will be able to buy tickets with all kinds of Georgian and foreign VISA and MasterCard cards, - announced Bank of Georgia.

“According to the tender terms, the renewed system will be launched from 15 September. The updated system will roll out from the specified date,"- the representatives of Bank of Georgia said.
As a reminder, Bank of Georgia won the auction announced by Tbilisi City Hall for modernization of the travel
fee payment system last year.
Bank of Georgia received the permission to operate the system for a ten year term. Bank of Georgia is a Georgian bank headquartered in Tbilisi, Georgia. It is the largest bank in Georgia by assets.
