A Taste of Excellence: Get to know Levan Kobiashvili

You might have heard the name Levan Kobiashvili at some point in your life and no I’m not talking about the football player I’m talking about the internationally recognized Chef. Well, in case it’s your very first time hearing his name you’re in luck because you’re about to discover an internationally recognized Georgian chef. Levan Kobiashvili was born on the 1st of September in 1976 in Tbilisi Georgia. He grew up studying at the 133 public school of Tbilisi and attended
the service center of professional education of Cook’s and Gourmet’s association union where he earned the title of master cook. He is the founder and president of Georgian culinary federation. Currently he works as a brand chef at “Barbarestan” restaurant.

The restaurant “Barbarestan” is well known for its unique Georgian cuisine. It is located at D. Agmashenebeli Ave. 132 in Tbilisi. Hugely recommended on the app Trip Advisor “Barbarestan” has received a certificate of excellence. It is described as a “cozy Georgian apartment where big, noisy and hospitable family lives.” Barbarestan offers delicious Georgian cuisine from the unique recipe book of the 19th century duchess Barbara Jorjadze. According to Levan himself he has been working there since 2015.

On top of being a master-chef Levan is also a president of Georgian culinary federation and a chef lector at culinary college “Icarus” since 2008. He is passionate about his career and loves helping others in various different ways. “I’m passionate about what I do, and I love to help people. Nothing is more fulfilling than being part of a team within similar interests, and an organization that values its employees.”
