The owner of Dubai’s largest company moves to Georgia
05 July, 2018
The owner of Dubai’s largest company “Six Degrees Communications House” and his wife Lamia have left their home country to move to Georgia. The first thing that they learned about the country was about the Lopota Lake. At first, as usual, when they heard about “Georgia” they thought that Lopota was located in Atlanta, Georgia. The fact that no one knew anything about this small country fascinated them to discover more about it. Initially they decided to celebrate their honeymoon in
this strange and mysterious country and later fell in love with it to the point that they decided to move there.

“We travel a lot. We had just returned from our voyage when I came across a photo of the Lopota Lake on social media. At first I thought Lopota was located in Atlanta, Georgia but then after a bit of research I found out more about this country. The fact that no one knew anything about this particular place made me more interested to continue my research.” – says Mohamed

They booked tickets and traveled to Kakheti for two weeks. “I realized that Georgia was not only Lopota. The country has everything – mountains, the sea so we decided to discover all of it.”

“We visited Tbilisi with the hopes of personally contacting with Georgian people to better understand the country. So we booked a family-type hotel in Kutaisi. We ended up living with the family of cooks who hosted us by showing us around the beautiful historical city. The relationship that I developed with them was the most memorable one for me.” – says Lamia

After returning back to Dubai Mohamed remembered that he had studied with a Georgian colleague during his Masters degree. He asked around and with the help of his professors he was able to locate his Georgian colleague.

“He lives in Kazakhstan after reaching out to him and telling him about our trip to Georgia for our honeymoon, he asked me surprised as to what we were doing there. Eventually, he helped me with everything and we moved to Georgia.” – says Mohamed.

Back in Dubai he worked as a marketing specialist in a marketing company working with the whole of South Africa, cooperating with major brands such as “Mazda” and “Aksais”. He believes that Georgia is a great country for business development. In hopes of making it big they decided to move to Georgia and start everything from scratch.
