Scandalous stories about Mindia Gogochuri the  son in law of Georgia’s President continue
There continues to be persistent rumors about Mindia Gogochuri the son in law of the Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili. A few days ago on the 6th July Mindia Gogochuri was mysteriously wounded. This has triggered further speculation and gossips about him and the presidential family. Since becoming the President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili has been dogged by controversial stories about his son in law.

In 2008, he was arrested for a drug related offence.

In 2011, following a murder on Rustaveli Avenue, when 23 men equipped with guns murdered a Georgian citizen Zura Tarkashvili with 11 shots. The mother of the victim identified Mindia Gogochuri as one of the alleged perpetrators. The case was investigated and suspects were charged. Mindia was not charged though. Mother of Zura Tarkashvili still believes that there are some people who protect Mindia.

In 2013, it is alleged that Mindia Gogochuri interfered in an argument between Giorgi Margvelashvili’s daughter and her boyfriend, Bacho Siradze. It appears that everything started due to an argument between Bacho and his girlfriend at the time – Ana Margvelashvili, daughter of the president. Mindia is alleged to have wounded Bacho. Subsequently, a police investigation was launched.

In 2016, the President reported that his son-in-law’s house was raided by policemen trying to locate a gun. The raid was carried out in connection with a police investigation related to the illegal purchasing, possession and carrying of a firearm. No gun was found as a result of the raid on Mindia Gogochuri’s house.

Mindia was wounded in 2017 as well. The incident happened in Tbilisi, Balanchivadze street. Mindia was wounded in shoulder. There was a friend of him who was wounded as well.

The President Giorgi Margvelashvili and his present wife Maka Chichua got married in 2014. The first lady of Georgia is a famous Georgian actress, TV presenter and make-up artist.

In 2015, Maka Chichua gave birth to their second child together, Temo. The President and the first lady have two other children from their previous marriages, Ana Margvelashvili and Mariam Chichua. Mindia Gogochuri is Mariam Chichua’s husband.
