The 10th anniversary of the 2008 war through a young graphic designer’s eye
08 August, 2018
A 23-year old Nika Chalakhshasvhili is a graphic designer from Georgia. He has created some interesting illustrations to express his protest against the Russian occupation of Georgian territory:
“On the 7th of August, 10 years ago, Russia renewed its military actions in Georgia and attempted a complete occupation. The war officially lasted 5 days, but 100’s of people lost their lives and 1000’s lost their homes. 10 years later, Russia unfortunately is doing the same thing. Georgians have lost the
battle, but they haven’t lost the war. “
