10 January, 2019
Mariam Giorgadze is a 20-year-old Georgian rugby player. She is a member of the Georgian national rugby team Georgia Ladies 7. Apart from playing rugby, Mariam is a good singer. She has participated in the music TV show Georgian Star.
Before pursuing a career in rugby, Mariam was an athlete and played tennis. Currently, she studies Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Georgian Teaching University of Physical Education and Sport.
Joining the sport has made Mariam more confident in
her strengths. Although the female rugby doesn't involve much fight and crush, the ladies are required to be fit. But the key skills to play good rugby are quick decision making and special techniques as it is more like an intellectual sport. The best supporter of the player is her boyfriend who plays rugby as well.
Since Mariam’s dream has always been to be on stage, she plans to take her music career more seriously. She believes she possesses a number of advantages as a performer despite her vocal challenges.
