David Koma on the shortlist of applicants for the British Vogue Fund

The shortlist of applicants for the British Vogue/BFC Fashion Fund was announced yesterday on the 14th of February. The applicants represent the most creative fashion designers of the British scene. The seven applicants of the shortlist are Charles Jeffrey, Grace Wales Bonner, Rosh Mahtani of Alighieri, contemporary accessories brand Neous, Natalia Alaverdian, Rejina Pyo and David Koma.

The winner of the award will receive the grand prize of £200,000 for the development of his/her business and a year-long program of support
from BFC specialists. The award winner’s name will be known on the 1st of May. The British Fashion Council (BFC) has been helping young talents build their brands and establish the next global fashion houses for 11 years now.
David Koma is a Georgian fashion designer based in London. His dresses are distinguished by elegance and body contouring silhouettes. Before moving to London, David Koma studied Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, Russia. He then continued his studies at the prestigious Central St.Martins College of Art and Design, London. After his graduation in 2009, David Koma launched his own label “David Koma” and has been a regular participant in London Fashion Week ever since.
