3 year old child, stabbed by passer-by in Tbilisi, to be discharged from clinic today

The 3 years old child, who was stabbed by a passer-by, will be discharged from Zhvania Clinic today, Natia Vasadze, maxillofacial surgeon of Tbilisi Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic, told InterPressNews.

According to Vasadze, the health condition of the minor is satisfactory.

“The state of health has improved, we intend to discharge the child. The patient had fairly deep wounds in the area of ​​the nose and right cheek. We provided initial surgical care to the patient and then, stitched the
wound. Currently, the health condition has improved and he will be discharged,” the doctor said.

On the 28th of August police detained a woman for stabbing a 3 years old child in the street. The detainee faces from 7 to 10 years of imprisonment.

The officers of Vake-Saburtalo Division of Tbilisi Police Department have detained T.S (DoB 1968) for intentional infliction of grave injury to the health of a minor.

An investigation has established that the detainee inflicted injury to the health of a minor, DoB 2015, on August 27 on Pekini Avenue, Tbilisi and left the scene of the incident.

The investigation is in progress under Provision V, Article 11 7 of the Criminal Code of Georgia,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia said.
