Explosion after Possible gas leak in Tbilisi

A natural gas leak is the suspected cause of an explosion that destroyed the part of a multi-storey residential building on Guramishvili Avenue in Tbilisi. Reportedly, three people were injured in the explosion and they were taken to hospital by a first-aid group.

The InterPressNews reporter, who went to the scene, said that the residential building windows were broken and several vehicles, parked nearby territory, were damaged after the explosion.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has opened an investigation into the
suspected gas explosion which injured four people on Guramishvili Avenue in Tbilisi.

The Ministry said that the investigation will look into violations of safety procedures.

The Emergency Situation Management Service says, according to preliminary reports, the explosion was caused by a natural gas leak.

Four people were injured in the explosion and they were taken to hospital by first-aid groups.
