"The Whole World Is Surprised By Georgia's Accomplishment"- Tengiz Tsertsvadze About Combating Covid-19
Tengiz Tsertsvadze, the director of Tbilisi's Infectious Disease Hospital talked about combating coronavirus. He stated that the medical community together with the government and the Prime Minister work effectively since day one when Georgia reported the first case of coronavirus.

"Measures taken by the government were effective and adequate and a state of emergency was declared when needed. Also, they had an immediate reaction to the Marneuli case. As for the curfew declared in Tbilisi, this was exactly on time as
well. It needs to be said that, there is a surprisingly good situation in Tbilisi concerning the number of infected. Moreover, we do not have any death cases compared to other European countries, where thousands of deaths are reported every day.

Since the epidemic has entered this critical phase, it is expected that the situation will get worse in Georgia. To avoid mass transmission of the disease, we have taken such serious measures. The whole world is surprised by Georgia's accomplishment and we want to keep this condition as long as possible."

Tengiz Tsertsvadze also stated that the information about falsifying the real data of the Covid-19 is not true.

"The data is not being falsified. Georgia is a country with a high state responsibility, which has very competent staff. We were the fourth country to start testing for the virus thanks to the Lugar Center.

Each case is recorded on so many sites and controlled by so many people, including the journalists who receive the information every hour that faking the data is practically impossible."
