How Did Georgian Citizen Living in New York Overcome COVID-19
Georgian citizen living in New York, Khatia Meshveliani, who has been diagnosed with coronavirus, shared her story on her Facebook page. As she says, she went through all the processes in self-isolation following the doctor's recommendations.

"After having contact with the infected one for five days, I started to show symptoms as well. The first thing that I noticed was a throat ache and a temperature of 37 degrees. The temperature got higher the next day but
I did not panic. I got the test and self-isolated myself.

I started treatment with hot liquids with lemon and ginger honey 14-15 cups a day. I have taken medicines for lowering my temperature, but then as my doctor Zurab Guruli said, it is not recommended since the healthy body is fighting the virus itself and if it is possible to withstand high temperature, the medication (paracetamol) is not recommended.

I would like to thank my doctor Zurab Guruli, who despite his busy schedule had time for me to show the real picture of my health condition and clear all the fears away. After talking to him, I got rid of the panic, which I had in my subconscious mind.

On the fifth day, my test results were positive. It coincided with the time when I had to change my apartment and this made me even more nervous as I had some organizational issues. I had a panic attack and could not sleep that night.

On the seventh and eighth day, I felt a slight burning and stinging in the lungs but these symptoms went away soon. I periodically felt these sensations in the chest and sometimes it was difficult to breathe. But I think the difficulties with breathing was caused by stress because I was not coughing at all. Moreover, I completely lost my appetite.

The ninth day was the lightest one and I felt that the virus was leaving me. Today is the tenth day and I still can not say that everything is over, but I feel much better. The main advice I can give you is not to panic, because stress reduces immunity and prevents the body from fighting the virus. Sometimes these symptoms are false and caused by anxiety.

If you do not have hard coughs or difficulties with breathing, this means that you have a mild form of the virus and it will go away on its own. The process was not as difficult as I thought. I continue being in self-isolation to take care of others as well. Stay at home and be healthy."
