Some Covid-19 Restrictions To be Lifted In Georgia From May 18

Some of the restrictions imposed due to coronavirus spread is going to be lifted in Georgia from Monday, May 18.
First of all, the Marneuli region will not be considered as a quarantine zone anymore, which means if necessary, the local population can leave the region without any problem.
The Marneuli municipality was declared as a quarantine zone on March 23.

Secondly, beauty salons and aesthetic centers will open on Monday, May 18th. According to the Federation of Beauty Salons,
“All centers can open from May 18 (except for malls and underground salons) without any prior permission. Pre-registration is not required.

According to the decision of the government, from May 18, the imposed restriction will be lifted - on the gathering of 3 people, both indoors and outdoors. However, it is noteworthy that the ban on gathering more than 10 people remains in force. The movement of more than 3 people (including the driver) is prohibited. Passengers must sit on the back seat.

In addition, the services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be gradually restored. Those who have passed the theoretical test for admission to the driving license are given the opportunity to take advantage of the practical test service.
