Zaza Pachulia’s Golden State Warriors win the NBA Championship
13 June, 2017
The Golden State Warriors, where Georgian basketball player Zaza Pachulia plays, regained the NBA title from the Cleveland Cavaliers as a 129-120 win on Monday night sealed the finals series 4-1.

As reported by U.S. media, Kevin Durant scored 39 points and Stephen Curry 34 to spark celebrations around Oracle Arena in Oakland.

It was the third year in succession the two teams had met in the finals. Cleveland last season became the first team ever to overturn a 3-1
deficit in the best-of-seven finals but after falling 3-0 down this time around, they were only able to pull one game back before the Warriors finished the job, foreign media say.

Georgian basketball player Zaza Pachulia thanked his supporters. As he remarks in his video address, the season was very difficult as well as gaining victory in the NBA final.

According to him this is an unforgettable day.

‘I am very happy and proud to be Georgian! The cup will arrive in Georgia as well as the seal… The victory, the world championship is for Georgia. It will work as motivation for young people,’ he has said.
