Tochinoshin wins for the fifth time in a row at the Nagoya Basho

Today Tochinoshin Levan Gorgadze won for the fifth time in a row at the Nagoya Basho tournament. Tochinoshin fought against the first Maegashira Kotoshougiku. The odds between the wrestlers were 8:24 in favor of Kotoshougiku. It is worth mentioning, that Levan defeated Kotoshougiku in a previous Basho. They have already fought each other three times this year and Tochinoshin has been victorious in every combat.

Tochinoshin won with Yorikiri. Yorikiri is a method of forcing an opponent backwards out of the
Dohyo by maintaining a grip on the opponent’s Mawashi (belt).

Tomorrow Tochinoshin fights against Komosubi Tamawashi Ichirō. The odds between the wrestlers for this fight is 15:7 in favor of the Georgian wrestler. Again these two wrestler have fought each other three times already this year. In two of them Levan Gorgadze has been victorious.

Another Georgian Sumo wrestler Teimuraz Jugheli also known as Gagamaru lost todays fight to a Japanese wrestler. Now Gagamaru has a negative balance – 2:3.
