Gold medals at Judo Grand Prix, Zagrebi (Croatia)

The previous unsuccessful days were compensated by finals’ medals at the Grand Prix. Georgian Judo players gained two gold and a bronze medal. The Georgian Judo players, Avtandil Tchrikishvili (in the 90kg category) and, Guram Tushishvili (in the +100kg category) both took gold medals with Lasha Taveluri finishing third with a bronze medal in the 100kg category.

Avtandil Tchrikishvili defeated Cuban Ashley Gonzalez (07:14). As for Guram Tushishvili, he won
against Sasson Alon of Israel (07:48) and Lasha Taveluri defeated Elkhan Mammadov, of Azerbaijan (07:26).

Other contestants, Lasha Chaduneli and Tornike Nagliashvili fought in the 60kg and 81 kg categories respectively. Lasha Chaduneli lost his match to Lesyuk Artem,of the Ukraine. Tornike Nagliashvili defeated Vargas Ryan, of the USA and Nathon Burns, of the Republic of Ireland but lost finally against Abe Hifumi of Japan.

As for Koba Mtchedlishvili and Tamaz Kirakozashvili, they lost fights in the 1/8 final against Dominic Ressel, of Germany and Casse Matthias of Belgium respectively.
