Spectators amazed by Nikoloz Basilashvili’s beautiful shot

The Georgian tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili recently defeated the American player Jack Sock at the Louis Armstrong Stadium, Flushing Meadows, New York, during the US Open Tennis Championship. Nikoloz had to go to 4 sets but in the end won 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 7-6 against the American tennis player. During the match Nikoloz made an amazing backhand pass from well beyond the doubles alley. After this astonishing shot, he maintained his then lead to the end of the match.

Nikoloz Basilashvili
was the first player from Georgia to win an ATP World Tour title by winning at the German Tennis Championships in 2018. The Georgian player defeated two-time winner of the German Title Leonardo Mayer of Argentina (6-4, 0-6, 7-5) to become the first Georgian to ever win the title.

The 2018 ATP World Tour is the global elite men's professional tennis circuit organised by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for the 2018 tennis season. Having clinched the title, he has now become the highest-placed Georgian in the history of the ATP Rankings, moving up from No.81 to 35. Having now recently won his recent match at Flushing Meadows no doubt he will have an opportunity to climb even higher. On Friday, Nikoloz Basilashvili is to play against the Argentinian Guido Pella.
