Is your mobile ringing at all?

In the smart-phone market BlackBerry got squeezed last quarter. Favorite mobile phones of Georgian lawyers, BlackBerries were squeezed out by competition. The gadget itself is famous for its unscrambling techniques, highest security standards.
Its maker, Research in Motion Inc. took a double hit: in terms of market share Google Inc.’s operating system overtook that of RIM’s according to new reports on US sales. And Apple Inc.’s iPhone surpassed RIM’s corporate stalwart, the BlackBerry Curve 8500, as the nation’s bestselling handset. The Android

operating system, which runs on nearly 100 devices, was in 44 % of the smart phones sold during the third quarter. Apple’s iOS was well behind; at 23 %.And RIM’s operating system was in 22% of handsets sold. Down from 28% the previous quarter. So soon we’ll see change in “Kidobani Shopping Moll’s” sales figures in Tbilisi.
The nation’s bestselling handset in Georgia 2010 I guess was Apple iPhone 3G in the smart phone market segment.
According to Krussel company report dated April 2010 which reflects sales in 50 countries across six continents top ten best selling mobile phones were:
1. Apple iPhone 3G
2. Nokia 3720 Classic
3. HTC HD2
4. HTC Desire
5. Sony  Ericsson XPERIA  X10
6. Nokia 2730 Classic
7. Samsung B2100
8. Sony Ericsson Vivaz
9.Nokia E 52
10.HTC Legend
Definitely your mobile phone is your business card, status symbol, along with your car and polished leather shoes. Shabby looking one, scratched or dirty mobile is just “a message” to society.... that you don’t care..

Nika (as we have always known him) has agreed to correspond with Georgian Journal for which we are thankful to him. Our new correspondent is coming from a journalistic family background, and it is only natural that we should hear from him on permanent basis. In spite of a long absence in Georgia, his love for this land and his dedication to this culture has never faded away. Just the contrary, he has always missed Georgia. Isn’t this correspondence going to be a real compensation of the long absence? There goes our come-back kid.
