Sharapova in Georgian designer David Koma dress at Oscars Party
28 February, 2017
World-famous tennis player Maria Sharapova appeared at the Oscars Party clad in an exquisite dress by a recognized Georgian designer David Koma. Maria is yet another celebrity who quite often appears in Koma’s trendy clothes. It is noteworthy, that the designer’s latest collection, inspired by Georgian national costumes, has attracted near-universe interest of media and fashion magazines.

Here is what VOGUE writes about beauty icon and her dress by David Koma:

"While an Oscars party wardrobe usually consists of one
floor-sweeping gown after another, leave it to Maria Sharapova to deliver a game-changing alternative in a knee-skimming design from David Koma. The Russian-born tennis champ stunned in a cobalt blue spaghetti strap number that she wore with Anita Ko and Jack Vartanian jewelry and strappy sandals, and an evening clutch, both courtesy of Jimmy Choo. Like any practiced red carpet player, Sharapova tried her hand at several dresses before settling on the embellished piece from Koma’s Spring 2017 collection.

Sharapova cut a lean figure in the body-conscious silhouette, which was covered in spangly Swarovski crystal embroidery—or as Sharapova called it, “disco beading.” She further accessorized with Art Deco–inspired earrings and coordinating cocktail ring baubles for added shine. Sharapova’s glam team was holding court ahead of the big night, including her longtime makeup artist, Kara Yoshimoto Bua, whom she credits with the secret to her winning beauty look: a light preliminary misting of rosewater. Turns out, it’s all about staying hydrated, whether on the green or on Oscar night.

Above, Sharapova shares exclusive behind-the-scenes photos of her Academy Awards party getting-ready routine", - VOGUE reports.
